Welcome to Teign Film Makers Club in the picturesque coastal town of Teignmouth, South Devon. Over the past couple of years we have steadily grown with members coming from Torbay, Exeter, Plymouth and Somerset as a result of being the only amateur filmmaking club in a wide area. We all have one thing in common - we enjoy making films and improving our skills behind the camera and in our editing.
We are a friendly welcoming club with a membership of all abilities from novices to experienced film makers. The club started in the 1960's filming on celluloid film but has moved on to embrace the new formats as they have developed.
Filming now is done on digital tape, hard disk cameras and the SD card format. High Definition cameras are growing in popularity as are Small Format Cameras.
Members edit using Personal Computers, Casablanca editing systems or Apple Mac. You can see the results on state of the art equipment.
We meet fortnightly on a Monday evening from 7.30pm until 10.00pm enjoying a varied programme including hands on instruction, friendly competitions, lectures, making club films together and social evenings. You are welcome whatever your ability.
