JIM GILL'S DIY STEADICAM
Jim, a long standing member of Teign Movie Makers, has produced dozens of films during his long movie making career and has always strived to make each new film better than the last. He said he had always fancied the idea of using a Steadicam, but his budget simply would not stretch that far. He had toyed with the idea of making his own for some time before setting his mind to designing and constructing a camera movement system that was practical, inexpensive and simple to use. He said, "I had seen others demonstrated on YouTube and thought a different approach would be worth considering." Jim then went on to create a video which shows his device being used and then the actual footage shot.
